Field Notes
Field Notes memo books were made to be used up, not admired. Most are a slim, staple-bound 48 pages, sized at 3½ × 5½ inches to slip into a back pocket, with a card cover that softens and curls to fit whichever pocket it lives in. The design borrows from the agricultural memo books American seed companies once handed out to farmers, and it has kept their modesty intact.
This collection holds the core three-packs in graph, ruled, plain and dot-graph, the limited editions while they last, and the covers and accessories that keep them company. A new pack never stays new for long. By the third week you know where every note is, and the corners have taken the shape of your pocket. What you end up keeping is not so much a notebook as a record of where you have been.
