Description

The Hobonichi Techo Avec is a two-volume version of the one-page-per-day Hobonichi Techo, designed to be lighter and easier to carry. The year is split into two books: January through June, and July through December. The first volume has a lime yellow cover and the second an ice blue cover.

Because the year is divided into two volumes, each book is slim and light. This makes it easy to carry around, even when you've filled the pages with lots of clippings and mementos.

The Original Avec is the two-volume edition of the one-page-per-day A6-size techo. The page layout and specifications are essentially the same as the standard Original — there are some differences in the calendar period covered and the number of bonus pages. The daily pages give you plenty of space to write schedules, journal entries and notes; paste in tickets and photos; sketch; and much more.

Thanks to the thread-stitched binding, the techo opens flat at 180 degrees and stays that way — no need to hold the pages down.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

The back of the techo contains bonus pages, including standard favourites such as Favorites, My 100 and Solar Terms, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer's Block, Useful Sign Language Phrases to Know, and Hobonichi's Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.

The Hobonichi Techo is designed to be used with a cover, and you can use the same covers for the Avec as you do for the regular edition. Explore the different colours, materials and designs to find your perfect match.

Built for Daily Use

  • Half a year, half the weight: Each volume covers six months, so the book in your bag is always the slim one — and never the whole year's worth of pasted-in clippings.
  • The Original layout, unchanged: You get the same 3.7 mm grid, the same generous daily page and the same Tomoe River paper. Only the bulk is different.
  • Fits the covers you already own: Any A6 Original cover takes the Avec, so you don't need to buy anything new to carry it.
