The other two designs are made for the other techo sizes and are sold separately.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e“Sunny Day” was inspired by a charming window scene Miyakoshi glimpsed while travelling through the Cotswolds in England, which she then let her imagination expand upon. The reverse side is yellow, evoking the warmth and brightness of sunlight.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe back has markings at 1 mm intervals along the long edge, so it can also be used as a ruler.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe corner of the pencil board includes a “Today” tab, which will act as a bookmark to show which day you’re on if you put it between the pages of your techo.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Akiko Miyakoshi series also includes techo covers, a Weeks and a notebook, and they are a quiet pleasure to use together as a set.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAkiko Miyakoshi is a children’s book author, born in Saitama Prefecture in 1982 and now living in a town at the base of the mountains in Nagano while creating new works. She debuted in 2009 with The Storm, has won several awards in Japan and internationally for The Tea Party in the Woods, The Way Home in the Night and Little Shrew, and her other books include I Dream of a Journey, The Piano Recital and Tom and Momo.
