Description

Slash (Navy) is a basic design for the HON, a hardcover techo with an integrated cover. On a dark navy cover that looks almost black, a diagonal slash is foil-printed in gold.

The design is based on the forward-slash symbol ( / ) used when writing dates. The cover fabric has a matte texture that feels wonderful in your hands and is resistant to grime, as well as wear and tear.

The spine is foil-pressed in gold with the year 2027 and the HON logo, so you can easily identify which year’s techo it is when it’s placed on your bookshelf alongside other books.

The contents are the same as the Hobonichi Techo Cousin. The A5-size HON includes vertical weekly pages, allowing you to plan each week on a two-page spread.

Like the Hobonichi Techo, the HON features thread-stitched binding, so it opens flat at 180 degrees and stays that way — no need to hold the pages down.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

The back of the techo contains bonus pages.

The English edition features standard favorites like My 100, Favorites, and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, alongside new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block, Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words, and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map.

The Japanese edition includes standard favorites like My 100, Favorites, and Solar Terms, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block, Useful Sign Language Phrases to Know, and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map.

A pencil board with a 5 mm grid, designed exclusively for the HON, is also available. Note: starting with the 2027 edition, the pencil board is sold separately.

Specifications That Matter

  • Navy that reads almost as night: A single gold slash crosses a cover so deep it borders on black — the forward slash you write between the day and the month, and nothing more.
  • A finish made for handling: The matte fabric feels dry and faintly grainy in the hand, and it shrugs off the grime and scuffs that a year of desks and bags always brings.
  • Daily pages and weekly spreads: A full A5 page for each day sits alongside vertical weekly pages, so you never have to choose between the overview and the detail.
